Rule or Exception
American society has consistently produced “exceptional” black men who have defied the odds and shattered glass ceilings in various fields. From the likes of civil rights icons like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, who fought for equal rights and justice for African Americans, to trailblazers like Barack Obama, the first black president of the United States, these men have made indelible contributions to American society. Outstanding athletes such as Muhammad Ali, who not only excelled in the boxing ring but also used his platform to advocate for social justice, have inspired generations. Furthermore, pioneers in the world of arts and culture, such as musicians like Louis Armstrong and Michael Jackson, have left a lasting impact on American society, challenging norms and pushing boundaries. These exceptional black men serve as a constant reminder of the immense talent, resilience, and potential that exists within the African American community. These are a few of the “exceptions” to the rule…….. I emphasize greatly that,. This is not their story!
